4 Months Old!!

We can't believe Helen is already 4 months old!

This age is so much fun! She is always cooing and laughing and smiling. She makes lots of funny faces too! If you don't pay attention to her, she fake coughs until you do.

She holds her head up really well and almost sits up too! She can roll on her side but can't figure out what to do with that arm! She sleeps about 4 or 5 hours at a time at night and naps well during the day. She is still drinking 4 ounces of formula every 3 hours. She wears 0-3 and 3 months clothes and size 1 diapers. At our 4 month check up, she weighed 12 pounds 2 ounces and was 24 1/2 inches long. She is still in the 20% percentile.

Helen got to go on her second camping trip at Lake Martin this month with our dear friends and had lots of fun! She was worn out on the car ride home!

She loves watching football with her daddy, even though our team is having a rough time this year. Hotty Toddy! She also loves her Baby Einstain dvd and the Pajanamals.

The best thing that happened this month was her finalization! We went to court on Oct. 12 and the judge signed the documents that made her ours forever! My favorite line from the court paperwork; And the name of the adoptee in this matter is hereby changed to Helen Hope, as prayed.

I have so enjoyed my time at home with her, it has been such a blessing to be with her for the first 4 months of her life. I will be starting back to school on Nov. 7. I would appreciate your prayers. I am excited about being with my friends and getting to know my students, I have heard they are an awesome group! But, I sure will miss my baby.
