Helen is nine months old and full of spunk and energy! She loves to wave to everybody she sees, but does not want them to hold her at all! She is going through serious seperation anxiety. So, at least we know she is well bonded to us! She has also learned to "kiss". She loves to lean forward mouth open and press it to our head, cheek, nose, etc. She will "kiss" people she likes, but still won't let them hold her.
Poor baby had more double ear infections this month! This time her fever lasted for days, she was quite a sad sight! On a happy note, she has been sleeping in her own room since Feb. 21! She takes 3 naps during the day and goes to bed around 8:30 pm. She sometimes sleeps through the night (until 8am!) but usually wakes up one time for a bottle. She learned to sit up and stand up in her crib but can't figure out how to get back down, which really makes her mad! She is wearing 6 month and 6 - 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers.
She started crawling the day before she turned 9 months!
She loves sitting and playing in her highchair and sometimes eating - loves apple sauce, frozen bagels, and celery. On one of her school report cards her teacher wrote,"she was not impressed with her peas today but ate half anyway!" She stills drinks bottles 3 or 4 times a day and gets excited when she sees us make one.
She loves to swing in her new swing set! Brian and I said the other day that we can't believe we have a swing set in OUR yard! There were so many times we thought it would never happen. Its funny how little things like that can remind us of how blessed and lucky we are.
She loves playing ball! Her teacher at school said she was scrappy and she and her boyfriend tackle each other and laugh and laugh. She said she thought she would make a good basketball player! Seeing as I have not one single athletic bone in my body, I am very impressed with her!
She still loves to ride in her wagon. We live in the best neighborhood! Last night we saw 3 other families with their kids in red wagons! Helen loved waving at all her friends!

Hi! I just stopped by your blog from Kelly's Korner. I'm a fellow adoptive mommy with an 8 month old daughter. Aren't little girls the best? Helen is such a cutie! Congratulations!
