One Year Old!

One year old already! It is so hard to believe that last summer when we got her she weighed less than 6 pounds and would hardly drink an ounce of formula and now she is almost 20 pounds and will drink an 8 ounce bottle in a flash!

This month she has really enjoyed going swimming and riding the carousel at the mall! She started walking when she was 11 1/2 months old and has gotten really good at it! She never crawls anymore and almost runs everywhere she goes! She looks at us with the biggest smile on her face and a look like, can you believe I can do this?!? The only down side is now she falls more and unfortunately when she hurts herself she holds her breath until she passes out! It almost gives me a heart attack every time. Don't worry, she has been to the doctor about it and they tell us not to worry, she will outgrow it, eventually!

She weighs about 20 pounds and is wearing size 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. She drinks three 8 ounce bottles a day and is starting to eat lots more food. She loves grilled salmon, corn on the cob and popsicles. I dread the fact that we have to take her bottles away, it is going to make naps and bedtime rough. She drinks great out of a straw and a sippy cup, especially with ice water! She is so much fun and loves to make us laugh. She loves to hide but can't stay hidden very well since she giggles so loud behind the blanket or on the other side of the wall where she hides! She still loves to point at things she wants to see or touch and goes "oooh" when she sees something she really likes. It is one of our favorite things she does. What a difference a year makes!
