A year and a half? How can that be?
Helen is 18 months old today! What? Where has the time gone? How did my baby go from this:
to this? So quickly!
This month has been busy. We had a great time with lots of family for Thanksgiving. She got to meet her cousin from Chicago that is exactly a month older than she is! She loved playing with all her cousins and eating corn and macaroni and cheese. She did not love the turkey, just looking at it scared her! How funny is that?
She still loves school and has the best teachers! We are so lucky!
Helen is starting to look so much like a big girl now and not a baby! She has lots more hair and lots of teeth. Poor thing got 4 molars this month, she ate lots of popsicles! She still loves to read, sing songs and dance. She especially loves her baby dolls, stuffed animals and woobies. Brian is a sucker and anytime she sees a stuffed animal she hugs it and lays her cheek on it, then he buys it! She also loves to throw and kick a ball or play hide n seek, but she is not too good at hiding yet!
Helen discovered the joy of Sonic this month! She loved the tator tots and cherry limeaid!
Helen is wearing mostly size 18 months clothes and a size 4 diaper. She still drinks a bottle every night when I rock her to sleep and maybe hold her for 30 or so minutes after she is asleep, I can't say for sure! She basically lives on fruit, pasta and popsicles. I don't know what happened to the baby that ate lots of vegetables! I hope she comes back! Ha! She is still a good sleeper and sleeps from 8 pm to 8:30 or 9 am most of the time. She has officially dropped her morning nap, but her afternoon nap doesn't seem any longer. Poor baby had an ear infection this month and a cold. She also continues to hold her breath until she passes out when she gets hurt, we sure will be glad when she outgrows that.
We had a great time at Zoo Light Safari with Laurie and her boys. Helen and Caleb are exactly one month a part in age, we are thinking arranged marraige! She loved riding in the double stroller with him and sharing his snacks. We are so excited about Christmas. She loves the tree and all the lights. We have a kissing ball and she loves to make loud mmmm noises while she kisses us. She does not like snowmen or Santa. We go every year with her Godsisters to see Santa, last year she did great.
This year she had a break down so this is as close as we got! (note: evidence of Brian's stuffed animal buying problem tucked under her arm)
This has been the fastest and best year and a half ever! Merry Christmas!
