It is so hard to believe we have had her for 7 weeks and that she is 2 months old! Time flies when you are having fun, and have no track of time due to lack of sleep!
Helen is still wearing her premie gowns, but is wearing newborn sizes for everything else. I have been able to get her to wear a few of her 0-3 things that are so cute, but still a bit big. She is still in newborn size diapers. She eats 2 to 4 ounces about every 3 hours. She did have one night last week where she slept for 7 hours!! Woo Hoo! But, it was just that one time. She still sleeps in our room. I am embarrassed to admit she has never even been in her crib! She is getting really good at holding her head up. She sits and looks around like a big girl.
She loves to take a bath. She is so good and just looks around while we bathe her.
She is already learning to share with her kitty cat and dog sisters.
We had our post placement visit on August 18, 2011 with our fabulous and amazing social worker. We had such a nice time visiting!
My mama saved several of my outfits and dresses from when I was a baby. Here is Helen in one of my shirts. She is on her changing table, which is one of her favorite places. She loves to watch the shadows on the wall and shake her arms and legs.
She is more alert and active everyday. She is so much fun to watch it is hard to get my chores done! She stretches and moves all the time. So, if you stop by don't be surprised if my house is a mess!
edited to add: We went to the doctor on Friday, August 26th. She weighed 9 lbs 8 ounces and was 21 inches long! The doctor said she was doing great. Poor baby had to get two shots of vaccines, it was so sad! She had her first dose of tylenol when we got home to help make sure she didn't feel bad after the shots.
soooooooooooooooo darling!
