Favorite Crock Pot Recipe - Chicken and Wine


So, for Kelly's Korner link up I am sharing this great recipe from my Godmother, delish!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Wine
6 to 8 Boneless Chicken Breasts
8 oz softened cream cheese
1 cup white wine
1 pkg Good Seasons dry Italian salad dressing mix
1/2 stick of butter
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 chopped garlic cloves
jar of chopped mushrooms

Cream butter, soup, salad dressing mix, cream cheese, and wine together. Put a layer of this in the crock pot.
Layer chicken breast, then cream cheese mixture, then chicken breasts.
Cook on high 1 hour.
Cook on low for 7 hours after that.

Serve over rice with a salad and you are set! :)

  1. P.S. you forgot to say what to do with the garlic cloves and the mushrooms. But it sounds tasty and I am making this right now :) I'm gonna throw in the garlic and mushrooms along with the cream cheese mixture.
