Helen and her best friend were Christened together at our church on February 26, 2012. Laurie and I have been friends and gone to church together since we were 3 years old, so it was really special for our kids to be exactly one month apart in age and to be able to have them Christened on the same day.
She wore a beautiful dress that her Godsister wore and the same slip that my mama bought for my Godsister Leigh Anne to be Christened in when she was a baby. I was Christened in the same slip and all of our names are embroidered on it with the date of our Christening. I love that I will get to add Helen to it!
After church we went to my parents house for lunch. We were so blessed to have so many of our special friends and family be able to come. Helen had both sets of grandparents there, great aunts and uncles, cousins, and close friends to celebrate.
We had a delishious cake from a local bakery that I thought was so pretty.
It was a perfect day!
